The Pawfie Selfie Pet Photography Tool

We're possibly one of the few people on this planet to have never taken a selfie so imagine our surprise when a mysterious brown parcel turned up on our doorstep a couple of days ago with (you guessed it!) a brand new tool to help us take better selfies.

However, we do take loads of pics of our own dogs who are not always co-operative during photo shoots so we decided it was worth investigating a little further ...

The Pawfie story

The Pawfie was created by Emma, the dog and cat loving Founder from Sydney-based company Furfresh, who also offer whole food options and natural dog and cats treats only using 100% human grade ingredients.

The Pawfie was born out of her pure frustration at doggie events and also at home trying to capture the perfect selfie or picture of her own dog! At dog shows she was constantly struggling to hold the treat, give a voice command and also somehow hit the camera button to take the picture. Most of the time either the treat or the phone would end up on the ground. We could relate to that!

A solution was needed that was lightweight and ultimately super versatile to hold different sized treats, on practically any phone or camera, and in a number of positions.

What is the Pawfie?

Made from food-grade silicone that is easily cleaned for better hygiene, Pawfie is described as a versatile Ultimate Pet Photography Tool

The innovative design uses suction cups of the underside of the Pawfie that can attach to the front screen, back or even wrap around the top, bottom or side of your phone.

Thanks to the flexible nature of silicone and the suction cups, the Pawfie can be adjusted to fit virtually any sized treat - customers have used it with tiny pieces of dried chicken or as big as a whole freeze dried sardine!

Most people use a phone case to protect their screens but it still works - it was tested it out on Otterbox, Body Glove and Lifeproof style cases.

But you can always attach it to the front screen/screen cover and use the side buttons to shoot. Genius!

Why use Treat Selfie Stick and not a Ball Selfie Stick? Let's face it, some dogs are ball motivated but 99% of dogs are food motivated! And cats, well, when they do decide to grace us with their presence they are much more affectionate if we're holding food!

If you too have struggled taking still photos of your dogs and cats and want them to "strike a pose" for longer whilst feeling rewarded for their efforts, this could be the answer to your prayers!

So now instead of saying "Cheese", try saying "Australian Kangaroo Fillet + Organic Parsley" low-fat treat to your pet.
