October 2 - 5 - APDT Conference 2025, Adelaide (SA)


The Association of Pet Dog Trainers
(APDT) Australia Inc. will conduct its next Dog Training Conference in Glenelg (South Australia), at the Stamford Grand Adelaide Hotel from 2-5 October 2025.

This 4-day conference will feature international and Australian reward-based, force-free dog training specialists including:

Chirag Patel (UK), Dr Amber Batson (UK), Laura Ryder (AUS) and Peta Clarke (AUS). The four speakers will give lectures and workshops throughout the conference, discussing canine body language, cognitive function in dogs, puppy development, canine health and behaviour, and client communication.

Registration for delegates is open; Early Bird Rates available until 31 July 2025.

ISBT - Canine Bowen Therapy 2026 Courses


The courses are offered by the International School of Bowen Therapy (ISBT) with a presence in Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. These Canine Bowen Therapy courses are suitable for a wide range of individuals, including dog owners, animal professionals, and non-professionals.

Prerequisites: To enrol in the course, applicants must be dog owners or have experience in canine handling.

Course Structure: The full qualification to become an ISBT Canine Therapist is a multi-level program (Levels 1-5).

Levels 1 and 2 are for professionals, non-professionals, and dog owners who want to learn the techniques.
Students who want to become a certified therapist must complete Levels 3-5 and submit case studies.

Course Content: ISBT-Canine Bowen Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive manual therapy that focuses on specific moves over the muscles, tendons, and soft tissues of the dog's body. The therapy is used to:

✔️ Relieve muscle stiffness and injury.
✔️ Improve joint mobility.
✔️ Complement veterinary care for chronic conditions like arthritis.
✔️ Assist in rehabilitation and recovery from injury or surgery.
✔️ Help resolve behavioural or stress issues.
✔️ Maintain a healthy body.
