Pound Paws Dog Day at The Henson 2021 - January 26

Join Sydney charity Pound Paws as they combine forces with The Henson on January 26 to provide a community event aiming to bring together dogs and dog lovers in the Inner West community, as well as raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption.

Pound Paws Dog Day at The Henson and the inner west's famous Golden Bone Dog Race return for 2021, in a COVID-safe environment.

This year, the event will be taking place at the car yard, only a few dog paws away from The Henson.

Setting up in this space will allow for each guest to be individually scanned in, as per the COVID Safety Plan, as well as provide a lot more space for attendees to roam. From there, safety measures will be implemented on site, to ensure social distancing is managed, whilst dog lovers can enjoy their day!

For those without a dog, don't worry as there will be plenty of Inner West canine rescue organisations involved on the day with dogs available for adoption and cuddles.

There will be a variety of tail wagging activities taking place too!

The Golden Bone Dog Race will kick off from 12:30pm at Henson Park, bringing together the Inner West community , where dogs of all shapes and sizes compete for the Golden Bone Trophy

This competition has been running for many years, shaping the Inner West’s history, to one of victory and community spirit. If you want to enter, simply rock up on the day to register. All dogs need to be registered at the Henson on the day by 12pm.

There will be prizes for first, second and third place (small dog and big dog division). Come back to The Henson after the race for drinks to celebrate the winner!

When: Tuesday 26th January, 2021, from 10:30am to 1:00 pm - Duration: 2 hr 30 min

Cost: Free

Where: The Henson, 91 Illawarra Road, Marrickville, NSW, 2204
