The brand started as a side hustle four years ago and has just recently hit the market with a direct-to-consumer offer on their website and also retailing on Amazon.
"2020 is a year we will never forget" says Founder Ben Whyatt, adding "there has not been many winners during the last few months except for our four-legged friends. Never have they had so much attention and cuddles with the nation working from home. With so much free time, it was only a matter a time before these dogs got creative and created something that they could call their own."
The (Dog) Founders mission is simple: "to provide moments of happiness every day between us doggies and you humans."
Their first product launch is a range of human-grade Australian dog cookies, which are grain and gluten free.
- Calming Cookies (which contains L-Theanine)
- Probiotic Cookie (which contains 7 gut-friendly probiotic strains)
- Hip, Joint & Coat Cookies (which contains type 2 collagen, egg shell powder and hemp)
- Protein Cookies (which contains sustainable insect protein)
- Rainbow Cookies (with 5% of profits going to support the LGBT community)
"Doggylicious is a brand that from the start wants to do some good in this world." explains Whyatt."Our packaging is 100% recyclable and they have used a range of sustainable ingredients such as egg shell powder, which is a natural source of calcium.
The range has and will always be made in Australia."
The company is now in the process of looking for a distributor and has set its sights set on introducing doggy baking mixes, doggy advent calendars and adding a Dog Birthday Box to the portfolio in the near future.
