Just due to some difficulties with the webinar run on March 31st, this popular topic will be re-run for anyone that missed it.

Almost all dogs bark. It is a natural dog behaviour and one of the ways in which they communicate. But sometimes that can be a problem for humans. If you find yourself wondering, “how do I stop the dog from barking?” (whether it’s your dog, or someone else’s) this webinar is for you. April 24, 2021 - First Aid for Animals Course (NSW)















The First Aid for Animals courses are back at the K9 Swim - Hydrotherapy Centre For Dogs - NSW 

Level 1 topics include: Nail care, recognising and preparing for emergencies, bites, stings, allergies, poisoning (chemical/plants), shock, anxiety issues, hypo/hyperthermia, seizures. 

Level 2 topics include: CPR, drowning, choking, wounds, fractures, bandaging techniques, medicating techniques.

When: 
24th April 2021| Level 1, 10:00am - 12:00pm, Level 2, 1:00pm - 3:00pm

May 8, 2021 - Dog First Aid Tasmania Workshop 

Veterinarian Dr Mark Hynes will be conducting this workshop explaining how you can apply First Aid to sick and injured dogs.

A COVID-19 Safety Plan will be in place for the Workshop. Full refunds will be available should another outbreak of COVID occur affecting the Workshop. 
We will look at the signs and symptoms of the most common issues vets see with dogs and what to do in each situation such as:
  • Handling an emergency
  • Handling distressed animals
  • Signs of shock and assessing the patient
  • Pain
  • Snake bites & other bites and stings
  • Control bleeding & bandaging
  • Fight wounds

June 19, 2021 - Natural Therapies for Animals - Massage (NSW)

In this one-day practical workshop you will learn how animal massage and natural therapies can benefit your animals, and how these practices may be applied in the home as well as in an animal care workplace.

Organisers encourage you to bring your dog to class. The training will include information on:
  • The history of animal massage and natural therapies including acupressure, cranio-sacral therapies and T Touch.
  • How to use massage to calm and relax an animal, and how massage can be used to stimulate circulation and improve health.
  • The fundamental use of massage therapy techniques in post-injury recovery.
