A Melbourne dog lover's dream: a festival for your favourite K9 friends!

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will host the ultimate dog lovers’ weekend,  the Melbourne Dog Lovers Festival, from Friday 13 – Sunday 15 October 2023.

The country’s biggest dog-dedicated event is back, but this time with a new festival look! The festival with arrive in Melbourne to throw a three day-long celebration of our tail-wagging best buddies. This paw-filled extravaganza promises to be a puppy paradise for dog enthusiasts with around 1,000 beautiful dogs representing over 100 breeds, celebrating the special bond between humans and their canine companions.

Melbourne Dog Lovers Festival Highlights:

· In a festival first, Bluey & Bingo from the Aussie made animated series ‘Bluey’, will headline the program with daily singing and dancing performances.

· Hosting some of Australia’s top trainers and industry talent at the ADVANCE™ Stage: Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, will share his mind-blowing list of the top 10 science-y things you didn’t know about your pooch, the trainer behind Oddball and Red Dog, Luke Hura, dishes out the secrets to getting your dog on the silver screen, Guide Dogs share what it takes to raise their puppies and an interactive workshop run by Kelly Gill and The Wonderdogs will teach those need-to-know tips and tricks essential for all new puppy-parents!

· Dash over to the VitaPet Arena to see Farmer Dave Graham’s Extreme High Jumping Dogs, Victoria’s fastest dog in Flying Fast Flyball, and a paw-some performance from Australia’s smartest dogs, The Wonderdogs.

· Antinol® DockDogs will showcase impressive canines going head-to-head in Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieval competitions, launching themselves into an indoor 100,000-litre pool!

· Grab a selfie with everyone’s favourite puppy influencers at InstaPooch on the ADVANCE™ Stage, hosted by Pooches at Play host, Lara Shannon, and Brodie Young.

· Choose kindness at the PEDIGREE® Adoption Zone with dozens of rescue and adoption groups helping puppies and dogs find their fur-ever home. The event has helped thousands of dogs in need find their fur- loving home since 2013!

· See, compare and interact with a bevy of beautiful dogs at the Knose Breed Showcase with over 30 leading breed clubs on show including the Siberian Husky, Old English Sheepdog, Great Dane, Samoyed and Newfoundlands, and get the low-down from a wide array of trusted breeders with 25 daily talks on the Knose Ask-A-Breeder Stage hosted by Alex Hecker.

· Festivalgoers can get their ‘feel good’ hormones at the Lyka Pat-A-Pooch Zone getting up close and personal with an array of dogs and try freshly cooked food for dogs AND humans.

· Younger folk can have their faces painted and snap some forever memories in front of the Neon Glitter Selfie Wall.
