From the designer of a cult-favourite Australian womenswear brand comes a new wave of accessories for your favourite four-legged friend - meet the recently launched Pooch & Hound.
Australian-owned and designed in Melbourne, Pooch & Hound was established during COVID-19 by The Accessory Company Group.
TORANNCE designer, Julia Hemingway, has set the creative direction for the brand, alongside accessories expert, Jess Bezzina, as they wanted to elevate their furry friends’ style but were unable to find anything in the market with original designs and a high-end look and feel.
They set out to design a bespoke collection of pet accessories and thereby Pooch & Hound was born. Their talented in-house print designer spends hours hand-painting the signature prints, making Pooch & Hound the perfect designer doggy wear.
Utilising their fashion background and accessories expertise to develop the label, the team have ensured that the quality and craftsmanship is good enough for every man (and woman)’s best friend. Bespoke, hand-painted prints are at the heart of the collection, featuring a range of Florals, Paisleys, tasteful novelty prints and your everyday classics.

In keeping with the traditions of (human) fashion, the first range is simply called SS21/22.
The collection includes collars and leads, as well as bandanas, bow ties and waste bags, and you can complete the set with a bundle featuring multiple pieces in a matching print.
The brand's second collection will also feature an extended product line - including cable knit jumpers in an array of on-trend colours and beautiful dog coats in matching prints. All items are made from a premium linen/cotton material with matte gold and silver hardware to add to the luxury.
On what led to the creation of the brand, Hemingway says, “The pet industry is a growing space, especially after COVID, where 40% percent of Australian households now have a dog. However, we found there was a gap in the market for a pet label with a high-end look and feel. Essentially, we wanted to create a high-end fashion label for your fur baby.”

Excitingly, the two brands will also be collaborating next season with further matching prints. This collection will also be sold across the TORANNCE retail and online stores.
