The grass carpet will be rolled out for the first time at St Leonards Park, just up the road from the North Sydney CBD, from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Sunday 23 May.
The confirmed line-up includes talks by pet experts Steve Austin and Dr Katrina Warren, a well-known TV veterinarian and author who also runs the Wonderdog School online training program.
Pet Medical Milsons Point is sponsoring the event and will also be holding a pop-up photo booth and giving away free magnets of the happy snaps taken.
This bone-anza day of furry fun will be packed with dog demonstrations and expert talks, Doga (dog yoga), a Mutt & Meow Market, food stalls, free kids activities, live music and plenty of other activities for fur residents and their human companions to enjoy.
A number of shows by Farmer Dave and his Rufftrack crew will also feature on the day, including a K9 Ninja challenge, K9 super wall, temptation alley and a trick-off.
There will be prizes to be won on the day for the best dressed pet, an owner-pet look alike competition and for the best trick.

There will also be a treat guessing competition and a raffle to support Bark in the Park’s charity partner Sydney Dogs & Cats Home.
Mayor Jilly Gibson said Bark in the Park is a great community event, not just for animal lovers, but for families and friends as well. Mayor Gibson said: “Now in its sixth year, our annual pets’ day out remains a calendar highlight which brings the whole community together.
“Knowing how much our locals love this event, we held a digital version last June during the height of COVID-19 which was really well received.
“We’re not able to hold the event in Bradfield Park this year because of Harbour Bridge maintenance works, but we didn’t want to cancel the live event for a second year so we’ve moved it to St Leonards Park which is walking distance for most of our residents.
“I know the animal lovers in our community will be really excited. Even if you don’t have a dog, there’s plenty of activities to suit all ages and tastes. It’s a fun day out!”
As always, Council has selected some canines from the community to be our Bark in the Park Ambassadogs.

Our Ambassadogs are Nellie the Corgi, Gladys the greyhound and rescue pupper Barkimedes, who are all already familiar with St Leonards Park. Our Dilpocat is Maxim Louis Vat, a Bengal cat who also enjoys walks in the park with his owner.
