Pooch play dates have just become a walk in the park thanks to the launch of Australia’s first social app of its kind dedicated to man’s best friend, PatchPets.
PatchPets connects dogs and dog owners from Australia and around the world in one swift click with an easy-to-use app that enables dog owners to find park pals with the PatchPets dog park map or to dig through the directory to find the latest pet-friendly cafés, hotels, and groomers.
The innovative social app was spearheaded by Brisbane pet parent Josh Fritz to provide a vibrant online space for adoring dog owners to find pals for their pets while creating a fun and interactive community dedicated to dogs.
“It’s no secret Australian’s love their dogs with two in every five Australian households identifying themselves as dedicated doggo parents,” says Mr Fritz.
“Pet parenthood is a joy that is best shared and PatchPets facilitates this connection in a fun, accessible and easy way.”
PatchPets is for the exclusive use of dogs and their dog parents, enabling users who have joined the PatchPets pack to feature their doggo’s profile, not their own, complete with a profile picture showing off their best angle, their geographical location, and their canine’s breed and age.
Users are then able to scroll through the adorable pet profiles on the PatchPets app and, using the available categories, narrow down the perfect play date in their area quicker than a shake of a dog’s tail.
The app isn’t limited to finding park pals either, PatchPets also has an extensive directory of recommended pet-friendly cafés, hotels and pooch pamperers providing pet parents with a simple way to fill up their pet’s social calendar in one swipe.
