This event began in October 2011 and aims to raise awareness about significant mental health issues affecting our community. Since then, it has evolved into the highly successful “Pawsitive Steps towards Mental Health Walk” and this initiative is unique in Australia (and quite possibly the world).
The fun walk is a distance of 2km: every 200m there is an obstacle - things like doggy tunnels, tug of war, sled pull, doggy sit-ups, doggy yoga - which symbolises a mental illness and equipment for your dog to join in the fun too!
There will be four different gyms and exercise businesses to conduct the walk this year as well as dog handlers available to assist thanks to Agility Club NSW.

You can walk with your dog, your family or just yourself and help raise awareness for mental health so please dress up and join in the fun! All registered walkers will be provided a breakfast from the local North Rocks Rotary Club.
After the walk, you can visit the free Health and Wellbeing Expo attached to it under the theme of “The Art of Friendship”.
