Melbourne's most lovable grey muzzles are ready for their close-up! The city's most cherished senior dogs are about to become legends in their own right, thanks to the 2026 Legends of Melbourne calendar from Bree Ruby Photography.
This isn't just a calendar—it's a year-long tribute to the wobbly walks, wise eyes, and heart-melting smiles of our senior pups. Each page tells a story of a lifetime of love and loyalty. It's about celebrating the quiet dignity of growing older with grace, the warmth of a knowing glance, and the joy of a perfect belly rub. This is a celebration of the dogs who have given us so much, a final spotlight on their unwavering spirits.
Your dog could be one of the twelve stars, each getting their own professional mini legacy photo session and a place in the calendar. After all the sessions are complete, the fun continues with a community vote on Instagram to choose the official cover dog, making this a true city-wide celebration of our furry elders.
"Senior dogs hold a special kind of magic," says Bree Ruby, a former veterinary nurse and Melbourne's only specialist senior and end-of-life pet photographer.
"This project is a way to honour their legacy and give pet parents a beautiful, tangible memory of their dog's irreplaceable place in the family."
