From Paw Prints to Press: Guide Dogs Launch First MagazineFor the first time ever Guide Dogs NSW/ACT will bring its community stories to life in print, unveiling a brand-new magazine filled with inspiring stories, expert tips and heart-warming updates, keeping us connected to Australia’s iconic and cutest companions.
Inside the Magazine
Created and produced in-house at Guide Dogs NSW/ ACT, the first edition of the magazine features specialised training advice from Ambassador and much-loved veterinarian Dr Katrina Warren, perfect for everyday dog parents who want to brush up on skills.
The magazine features inspiring stories from individuals living with low vision and blindness whose lives have been transformed by their Guide Dogs, including 23 year old Karlee who matched with Isla two years and allowed her to ‘really live life’.
We’re also introduced to school Head Teacher Alyssia who has been Puppy Raising Guide Dog pups at her school in Sydney for an incredible 20 years and shares more on life as a Puppy Raiser.
Readers will also discover additional services offered by Guide Dogs - including its cutting-edge Assistive Technology program – plus fundraising updates and even paw-some puzzles to keep tails wagging and minds ticking.

“We’re so proud to launch of the very first Guide Dogs magazine. It’s a unique opportunity to share some of the communities inspiring stories and explore the ways we support people living with low vision or blindness, while also celebrating the incredible history of Guide Dogs.
What makes this launch even more special is that the magazine has been created entirely in-house by our team and it is fully accessible to all.
It is a creative way to raise awareness, inspire support and showcase the breadth of our services – as well as highlighting the incredible volunteers who make the work we do possible. Now the first edition is live, we hope readers enjoy it as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life.”
