Get Ready for a Tail-Wagging Journey! The Dog Down Under premieres on Saturday 7th September on Channel 10
Australians love their dogs! So, howl with laughter and be moved to tears when Australia’s Most Talented, Heroic, Athletic, Hardest Working and Oldest dogs are revealed on the new TV series, The Dog Down Under!
Hosted by Lara Shannon, leading Australian dog expert and Host of Channel 10’s Pooches at Play and 7TWO’s Animal SOS Australia, this 5-part series is packed with extraordinary tales of the hard-working hounds and everyday heroes who improve our lives and keep us safe.
Episode 1 - Most Talented, Giotto |
“We were in awe of how dedicated these devoted dogs are to their families and community, and simply amazed by the incredible talents and sporting prowess that so many of them possess,” says Lara.
“From Bunny, the soulful pianist and singer, to Roxy the dog sledding champion, Giotto the skateboarding legend to sweet Phil, our oldest dog, I can’t wait to share their stories and show just how special our four-legged furry friends are.
Episode 3 - Sporting Legend Luna |
“Sadly, retired Queensland Police Dog ‘Kaos’, the winner of the Hardest Working Dog, passed away after filming for the show. He played a crucial role in keeping communities safe across the state and I am honoured to have met him.”
It's clear that for many Australians, dogs are more than just pets!
“They are beloved family members, whose resilience and love helps us persevere when times get tough. The Dog Down Under is a celebration of these extraordinary dogs and their impact on our lives,” says Lara.
The tail-wagging fun kicks off on Saturday 7th September, 2024 at 2pm on Channel 10.
