Meet The Dog Down Under TV Series stars

Don't miss the meet and greet with The Dog Down Under TV Series stars live on stage at Sydney Dog Lovers Festival

The Dog Down Under is an exciting new 5-part TV series airing Saturdays at 2pm on Channel 10 from 7 September 2024.

Hosted by leading Australian dog expert and Creator/Host of Pooches at Play (CH10) and Animal SOS Australia (7TWO) Lara Shannon, The Dog Down Under will count down the Top 10 some of Australia’s Most Talented, Everyday Heroes, Sporting Legends, Hardest Working and Oldest Dogs from across the country.

Remy, winner of the TDDU Sporting Legends category

"I'm thrilled to be introducing some of the canine stars of the upcoming The Dog Down Under TV series at this year's Sydney Dog Lovers Festival.

These dogs are champions, not just for their talents and skills but for the joy and inspiration they bring to their families and communities,” says Lara.

You can see Lara and some of the canines stars on stage showing off their award-winning talents, sporting skills and heroic endeavours at this year’s Sydney Dog Lovers Festival (August 24 & 25) including:

Giotto the self-taught skateboarding legend who leaves the kids at the skatepark in his dust!

Swayze (and brother Fosse) with their Dances with Dogs ‘dog mom’ Loretta Rabbitt, who are veteran performers, regularly appearing on TV and events including Australia’s Got Talent and The Morning Show.

Allez the Whippet who is an agility and lure coursing sup-paw-star, but loves to perform tricks with her dog mom. (Saturday Only)

English Setter Brodie is a blood donor su-paw-hero who wears his blood donation super-hero cape as a badge (or cape!) of honour. (Sunday Only)

Tiny Poodle Cricket
who is also an agility su-paw-star at just 1.5 kg and her sister Lacie. They might be tiny but what they lack for in size, this dynamic duo certainly make up for in attitude and determination.

Roger Taylor is a 3 year old Miniature Poodle who is a task trained medical alert assistance animal! Not only does he do everything from collecting receipts to fetching the first aid kit, Roger Taylor (yes, named after the Queen / Duran Duran Drummer!) is also performing at Kurgo DockDogs throughout the Dog Lovers Festival.
