Pound Paws is teaming up with The Sheaf Double Bay to bring back their annual Dog Day event, on Sunday 26th March 2023 the ultimate paw-ty in the Eastern Suburbs!

Locals and dog lovers can be treated to a variety of paw-some activities, with a mission to raise awareness about the importance of choosing to adopt instead of shop.

Pound Paws Dog Day at The Sheaf is an event collaboration between Pound Paws and The Golden Sheaf, with the support of Woollahra Council and Vet HQ

The event will take place in The Golden Sheaf’s dog-friendly Beer Garden with guests entering the event via Kiaora Laneway, a well-known hot spot for dog owners, to sip coffee and enjoy the Double Bay lifestyle with their pooches.

The event is run by Pound Paws with a mission to raise awareness about pet adoption to the local community, there will be a variety of dog rescue groups located in NSW. By hosting these Dog Day events, it allows rescue groups to connect with potential adoptees and find a potential home for their rescue dogs, as well as raise much needed funds.

Dog lovers and owners will be treated to a variety of pet market stalls, showcasing everything from dog accessories that’ll have your pooch looking fresh from a Vanity Fur shoot, organic treats to even Dog-lato

To complete the paw-some day, there will be live entertainment, ranging from live acoustic music, a doggy themed magician show performed by magician Julian Bull (as seen on 2Day FM & Myer Shows), a Rescue Dog Adoption Parade, educational chats on how to be the very best owner and a special doggie themed menu curated by The Sheaf, serving pawtinis, dog poke bowls, biscuits and pup-sicles.

Don’t have a dog? No problem, there will be dogs available for adoption from a variety of dog rescue groups around NSW - there will be plenty of opportunities to find a fur-ever friend.

Dogs also have the opportunity to strut their stuff on the stage, showing off their best costumes or tricks, to go in the draw to not only make their fur-parents proud, but win some seriously cool prizes including a Camilla Dog Bed (RRP up to $350) and LVLY ‘Lets Paw-ty’ Dog Gift Hamper (Valued at $120).

The VIP Judging Panel for the competition will include: Lauren Vickers (Influencer & Model), Manolo Pigmop (Doggie Influencer) with his fur-mum Crystal Lynne (Sydney's Crazy Rich Asians Reality Show), Dr Geoff Golovsky (Vet HQ), Susan Wynne (Woollahra Mayor) and Talicia Lees (Sheaf Manager).

Make sure to get in early, as the VIP Red Carpet will be rolled out for doggie socialites from 12pm, with pup-arazzi capturing paw-traits, as well as handing out complimentary KONG goodie bags.
