Adventure Dog Cross Country Challenge 2023 - April 2

Unleash your inner adventurer and help homeless canines at Animal Aid's Adventure Dog 2023

Adventure Dog is Australia's largest cross-country human and canine challenge, taking place on Sunday 2nd April 2023 at Wandin Park Estate, located in Gruyere, Victoria.

This unique event provides a chance for our community to challenge their mind and body in the great outdoors with their four-legged best friend and raises much needed funds for the homeless dogs at Animal Aid.

“Imagine Tough Mudder but with your dog,” says Mark MenzeAnimal Aid’s Chief Executive Officer. “Friends and family are welcome to come along on the day to give their support, there will be plenty of activities to keep them busy while you hit the course!"

Adventure Dog Cross Country Challenge 2023 highlights

✔️ Visited by 4,000 people cheering from the sidelines and in the event's village

✔️ Event village filled with the dog-related market stalls, live music and entertainment

✔️ Food & Drink Vans and a Bar

Adventure Dog is visually stunning with amazing photo opportunities: mud, jelly, snow, and a chalk colour run in the picturesque countryside of the Yarra Valley.

The course has been designed to build and strengthen bonds between humans and canines and celebrate the relationship we have with our dogs.

Regular competitor Aaron, with his dog Brandy, completed four laps of the course last year.
“It’s a fantastic, feel-good event,” says Aaron, “I was happily surprised at how many like-minded people came together to support Animal Aid.”
Aaron has chosen to fundraise to help the lost and homeless animals at Animal Aid.

“This will be our second year at the event, I love dogs and my heart breaks for those without a home. Every little bit helps, so Brandy and I hope to reach our fundraising goal.”

"This year, our goal is to raise over $80,000 from this event," said Elle Ammann, Communications & Engagement Manager.
"It's a big goal but we aim high as we need to support over 6,000 homeless animals each year at the shelter."
  •  The event is open to all dogs over 12 months old
  • A $55 registration fee for one human and their dog to enter
  • The event is free to attend, with spectators able to cheer on from the sideline
