Win 1 of 4 copies of " How Stella Learned to Talk" Book

The ground-breaking story of the world’s first talking dog

If dogs can understand words we say to them, shouldn't they be able to say words to us?

During the day, Christina Hunger (Speech Therapist) worked with toddlers with significant delays in language development and used Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices to help them communicate successfully. At night, she would go home to her new puppy Stella and wondered:
"Can dogs use AAC to communicate with humans?"
Covered by the US media, such as CNN, People and The Wall Street Journal, Stella’s story has amazed and influenced many worldwide - Christina’s videos of Stella have accumulated over 3 million views. There have been companies and devices that translate your dog’s barks and facial expressions to suggest what the dog may want, but nothing before this that would allow a dog to communicate directly to you.

Part-memoir and part guidebook, How Stella Learned to Talk will have enormous appeal to dog owners who have long dreamed of being able to know what their pet is trying to tell them.

About the author - Christina Hunger is a speech-language pathologist (the majority of her work has been with children) who believes everyone deserves a voice.

You can find her at www.hungerforwords.com and on Instagram @hunger4words

About her dog - Stella is a 3-year-old Blue Heeler & Catahoula mix. She can currently communicate 48 words on her device and is creating phrases around 5 words long these numbers are regularly increasing! Her favourite words are “outside” and “play”. Stella started using the buttons at just 6 weeks old.
