The Illawarra's best day for dogs returns for 2019!
Following the success from last year's event, Pound Paws and North Gong Hotel are combining forces again to save the lives of homeless pets!
Come and celebrate dog rescue with a whole heap of tail-wagging activities, ranging from: dog crystal healing, Doga (Doggy Yoga), Grooming, Puppy Ball Pit, Puppy-cinnos and even the chance to share a dog-friendly beer with your furry best friend at the pub!

There will be a variety of rescue groups involved, ranging from: RSPCA NSW, Seeing Eye Dogs Australia, Best Friends Fur-ever Rescue Illawarra, Pug Patrol Rescue Australia, Homeward Bound Hounds, Dingo Den and Animal Trust Society.
This event is proud to have hosted Australia’s first ever, Sausage Dog Ninja Warrior Course, an obstacle course for silly sausages to enter involving Dachshunds toddling through tunnels to even eating mini hotdogs!
Dogs also have the opportunity to strut their stuff on the stage, showing off their best costumes or tricks, to go in the draw to not only make their fur parents proud, but win some seriously cool prizes too!

Pound Paws charity provides a modern approach to the overall process of pet adoption. The charity has been supported by the likes of The Morning Show and The Living Room, to further promote the great work it does for our homeless pets. The charity hosts dog adoption events every month in different areas around Australia, as well as operate an online search engine which fast tracks the overall adoption process for potential pet owners.
The North Wollongong Hotel will come alive with dogs demonstrating circuit training performances, live music and even the opportunity to strut their stuff on the stage, showing off their best costumes or tricks – a moment which would make any fur-parent proud!

Please Note: Sausage Dog Ninja Warrior commences at 3:30pm. All dogs must be on a lead.
