2019 Paws in the Park Camden - May 5

Meet Dr Harry Cooper at Paws in the Park 2019 ...

Everyone’s favourite TV vet, Dr Harry Cooper OAM, will be the special guest at Camden Council’s lovable Paws in the Park event, on Sunday 5th May, 2019

Dr Harry will hold a meet and greet with local four-legged residents as well as their owners at the FREE event, which will be held at the Camden Bicentennial Equestrian Park, from 9am to 1pm.

“I really enjoy talking to people about their pets and seeing the real concern and genuine love that they have for them,” Dr Harry said.

“These days more and more questions relate to behaviour – my dog digs, barks, is frightened of storms and so on. Gone are the days when ticks and fleas were the main subject of conversation.

“Dogs have always been man’s best friend. For dog lovers, coming together to celebrate the joy that our canine companions give is good for us, the wider community and the dogs. And to a dog it’s like being in seventh heaven – they’ll enjoy mixing with so many new ‘friends’ and, of course, the smells.”

Mayor of Camden, Cr Peter Sidgreaves, said the event was an annual celebration of all types of dogs – from Great Danes to Miniature Poodles and everything in between – and their owners.

More than 3,000 people from within and outside of the Camden area attend this event, with more than 1,000 fur-children in tow,” Cr Sidgreaves said.

“I can safely say Paws in the Park is the perfect event to pamper your pooch and connect with the broader pet-loving community.

“To many of us our pets are part of our family. They’re incredibly important to the health and wellbeing of residents – not only do they make us happy, but they also encourage a healthy lifestyle that includes walking and outdoor activities.”
