Doggy Day Out is an exciting free event coming to Burke Street Park, Warragul on Sunday 28th April 2019.
Doggy Day Out, proudly sponsored by Baw Baw Shire Council, Boomtown Pets and Warragul Pet Emporium, will feature over 30 market stalls, food trucks, activities for dogs and their owners, dog training demonstrations and more the whole family can enjoy.
The event aims to bring the local community together and celebrate all that is great about being a dog owner, as well as educating the community on responsible pet ownership and the wellbeing of our pets. Baw Baw Shire Council will be offering free pet microchip scans throughout the day.
Doggy Day Out is proudly supporting the charity organisation Greyt Greys Rescue. The not-for- profit organisation is dedicated to the rescue and adoption of ex-racing Greyhounds. The organisation supports volunteers who provide foster homes to better prepare them for life in their forever homes.
The Doggy Day Out event will feature numerous exciting activities throughout the day you and your dog can enjoy together:
What’s On:
● Dog yoga – hosted by Deep Breath Yoga Community
● Dog agility activities
● Dog splash and play zone
● Puppy personal training – hosted by Paws Explores Adventures
● Dog obedience demonstrations – hosted by Beyond Obedience Dog Training
● Live pet illustrations -hosted by Shona Scott Illustrations
● Live music all day – performances by Chasing Ray
● Dog competitions – cutest puppy, cutest dog, most obedient and best dog trick categories featuring a puppy parade.
Competitions will be judged by Baw Baw Shire Mayor Mikaela Power, a Greyt Greys Rescue Incorporated representative and Redsteps Director Casey May.Winners of each category will receive a prize.
Director of Redsteps, Casey May says “this event is all about bringing the community together and sharing our love for dogs and our appreciation for how they help out our mental health and wellbeing.
They are part of our family and our lives and we love to meet like-minded dog owners. We look forward to seeing you at our event”.
Dog owners from Warragul and surrounding suburbs are encouraged to bring their furry friends along to meet other dog lovers in the area and support local businesses having a market stall on the day.
