Pound Paws, in partnership with Honeysuckle Hotel are throwing their first Dog Day event in Newcastle on Sunday 17th February 2019.
There will be plenty of tail-waggin' activities, with a variety of paw-some pet stalls and dog rescue groups ranging from; NSW Bull Terrier Rescue, RSPCA NSW, Dog Rescue Newcastle and Hunter Animal Rescue.
If you are looking to adopt a pet, this is the event for you!
Just one of the many local celeb guests involved is Shaun Kenny Dowall who is a huge dog lover and will be attending with his fur-babies on the day. He will be judging the Best Dog Trick and the Best Dog Costume competitions on the day.

Pound Paws is an Australian based charity which provides a modern online approach to the re-homing of pets in Australian poundsand rescue centres.
They operate via an online search engine which allows users to search for their dream pet in pounds and rescue centres across Australia. They also actively assist rescue centres and pounds with PR, Marketing, event organisation and throughout the overall re-homing process.
Pound Paws will host over 12 different local pet business stall holders, ranging from: Dog Artists, Dog Grooming Care, Dog Treats and Dog Food, as well as a kiddies corner for the young ones to enjoy!
Attendees can be treated to live entertainment, ranging from educational vet chats, Best Dog Trick / Costume Competition as well as a Rescue Dog Adoption Parade, where dogs available for adoption will strut their stuff on the dog walk
Pound Paws are delighted to be assisting local rescue groups in the Newcastle region with raising awareness and potentially re-homing their pets.
