Blacktown Pet Festival 2018 - October 7

Sydney dog lovers, mark your calendar for a great Dog Day Out set to get tails wagging on Sunday 7th October.
 
An
 initiative of the Blacktown City Animal Holding Facility, the annual Blacktown Pet Festival will be held at the Blacktown Showground, Richmond Road, Blacktown. 

Owners and their furry, feathery or scaly friends alike will unite for an action-packed day celebrating pets of all shapes and sizes and the families who love them.

Special Guest MC, the world famous animal trainer for film and television, Peta Clarke! With special demonstrations from Kelly Gill and The Wonderdogs!

Other attractions on the day will include:

  • pet fashion parade 
  • free vet checks and free micro-chipping 
  • jumping castles 
  • Animal Holding facility animal adoption stall 
  • mobile dog wash
  • pet stalls and displays 
  • free pony rides and animal farm 
  • Australian wildlife display 
  • free face painting 
  • free live caricatures 

Gather the family, pets included and join us to celebrate your ‘pet pride’ with a fun day of free demonstrations, activities and entertainment. Costumes are encouraged! 



Pet Fashion Parade

Does your pet like to flaunt their stuff? If yes, then make sure to enter your pet in the Pet Fashion Parade! Whether fancy, formal, funky, or a mix of styles, this competition is your pet’s best chance to really shine! Owners are encouraged to add to the fun by dressing up! Or maybe your pet has an amazing talent, here’s your chance to show it off!

The Contest will consist of the following categories: 'Best Dog', 'Best Cat' and 'other Pet' category.

To register, stop by at the Blacktown Animal Holding Facility information stall near the main entry gate. 
Preliminary judging will be held at the Event Information Stall at noon, with the finals in the Main Arena at 12.30 pm. 
When: Sunday 7th October 2018, from 10:00am to 2pm
