Mosman Pet's Day Out 2018 - August 26

New competitions, presentations and treats will be on offer at popular free community event Mosman’s Pet’s Day Out on Sunday 26 August 2018.

The event, which is open to all animal owners and lovers and features an exciting program for pets as well as their human pawrents to enjoy, will be held at Mosman Square and Village Green from 10am to 2pm.

“New features include Best Trick and Cutest Pet competitions, a Keeping Dog Care Simple presentation by author Lerida Grant and a special frog display by the Frog and Tadpole Study Group (FATS) while a special new soup will satisfy any hungry four-legged visitors who build up an appetite during our fun pet-related activities,” Mosman Council Communications Manager Liz Bennett said.

Pet’s Day Out regular and Mosman local Emma Martin-Fisher, who launched her locally-made dog food brand FurFresh at the 2015 event, will again be among stallholders, this time sharing a new offering as well as her popular natural handcrafted doggie ice pops on carrot sticks.

“Pet’s Day Out has an incredible sense of community and takes the key role in my eventing calendar so it was perfect for me to launch my new products – in 2017, it was my unique ice pops and this year I will also be treating pups to warm cups of my new grass-fed beef bone broth, which will be perfect if the weather is a little on the chilly side,” Ms Martin-Fisher said.

“The team at Mosman Council does an amazing job of organising and promoting the event which is so much fun for all involved plus I get to meet local pet owners and businesses and share their journey of keeping pets healthy.”

There will be many fun pet-related activities on the day, including skill testing competitions, a Bark Busters walking obedience master class to refine behaviour, Doga - Yoga with your dog class as well as pet aromatherapy candles and paw balms available to relieve stress.

Other highlights include performances by Dancing Dogs R Us, Taronga Zoo’s ZoomobileAustralian Wildlife presentations and Mosman Vet photo booth, a colouring in competition, cupcake decorating and face painting.

There will also be many sample giveaways and products for purchase at our colourful stalls on the day including delicious and organic pet food and supplies.
