Behind this Aussie start-up are Founder Pete and his furry best mate, Zeus, who used to run through the parks and foreshores of Sydney. As Zeus used to run off-lead, Pete wondered how far Zeus ran compared to him?

How does the Furry Legs Pet Fitness Tracker work?
1. The Set-up
- The Tracker comes with three different size loops to attach to your pet’s collar so simply select the width that best suits your current collar. The Tracker is fitted with the medium size loops by default so if you need to swap, simply slide the incorrect size off the tracker and the correct size onto the tracker. Make sure the OLED display is facing out when your thread the collar through the loops!
- Download the free “Furry Legs” app from the Apple store or Google Play shop.
- Once the app is on your phone, start your Tracker by holding down the button (on the side of the OLED display) for 10 seconds. Once it displays “Furry Legs” you’ll know it has been activated. Hold the button again for 10 seconds to obtain the four-digit code you need to enter in the app to sync the Tracker to your phone app.
Note: it is recommended that you don’t attach the Tracker to your pet until that’s done as the vibration may startle your pet.
2. How to Use
First, you will need to set up your pet profile in the app by entering some basic information:
2. their age, breed, gender, weight and also your pet's length (distance between front two paws and back paws) and height (from the ground to the top of their head) as these details are essential to measure steps and distances accurately.
3. Set your pet's daily Step Goal. This is best done following your vet’s advice as it will obviously depend on your dog’s breed and general fitness levels.
NB: The recommendation of highly active time for dogs is 2 hours a day and 30 min for cats.
Once you’ve completed the set-up, you can quickly check all the functions by lightly tapping the touch button on the Tracker and it will scroll through Name / Phone then Steps / Distance / Highly Active Time for that day.
Using your app, you can access your pet's full history (day/week/ year) any time by tapping on the large circle which will give you their average versus chosen step goal.
