Rescue Ready for Takeoff!

Forever Friends Animal Rescue (FFAR) has today launched a new sponsorship program called Rescue Ready, allowing animal lovers to save a life for as little as $150.

“We are delighted to make this announcement today,” said FFAR President and Co-Founder Saskia Adams. “Rescue Ready is available to anyone and everyone: an individual, a family, a school, a class, a sports team, a workplace or even as a gift for someone else.

“We understand that many animal lovers are not in a position to foster or adopt. Rescue Ready allows these people to get involved and literally save a life through sponsorship.

And it’s tax deductible!

“When you sponsor an animal through Rescue Ready, 100 percent of the donation offsets the cost of pound release fees, a comprehensive medical check-up as well as desexing, microchipping, vaccinations and any worm or flea treatments needed. It may even be put towards a good groom if required.

“We’ve made it easier than ever to help an animal in need,” Saskia said.

One of Victoria’s largest volunteer-run animal welfare organisations, FFAR has saved the lives of over 6,000 animals since it was established in 2011. The organisation’s mission is to rescue animals from death-row and find them loving forever homes.

“We rely solely on our network of dedicated volunteers to keep FFAR running, whether they be foster carers, vet nurses, behaviourists, transporters, administrators or event gurus. “For the people that aren’t able to help out in these ways, Rescue Ready is their opportunity to get involved,” Saskia said.

Sponsors receive: their choice of a dog, cat or farm animal; an acknowledgement letter with tax receipt; a foster report including a photo and details of the sponsored animal; a shout-out on social media (with permission); and an adoption report with details of the sponsor animal’s forever home.

With the end of the financial year fast approaching, now is the perfect time to get on board with FFAR’s Rescue Ready Sponsorship Program and help save a life!
