Dogs ACT - Dog Sports Extravaganza 2018

From petite to mammoth and all dog breeds in between, Canberra will be the canine capital from July 5 - 8 where you can see dogs having fun in action!

More than 2,000 dogs will be on show over 4 days when EPIC, Advance Pet Nutrition and Dogs ACT host the third International multi Dog Disciplines Extravaganza.

The four-day event includes 5 conformation shows, dog sport activities found in Canberra, and this year a group of Terriers in a nationally recognised special event, bringing together hundreds of dogs, owners and breeders from across Australia, who will vie for the highly prized title of ‘Best in Show/Trial/Competition’.

This year the Dog Sport competitions will include events such as Agility, Flyball, Scent Work, UpDog Challenge, some of which will be demonstrated within the indoor pavilions of the EPIC showgrounds.

Choosing the best canine in each class and event presents a daunting challenge for the judging panel that includes twelve International judges from Japan, Brazil, South Africa, Cyprus, Belgium, USA, Austria and New Zealand
.“2018 is the third year for this event, which we hope will continue” commented Judith Woolley, Vice-President of Dogs ACT.

The weekend’s celebrations will include special events such as Junior Showmanship competitions along with a Grand Parade of the Veterans – all are not to be missed!
