FurBall on the Beach 2018 - March 24

FurBall on the Beach is a waterside charity dinner with a difference to be held on Saturday 24th March on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast with all proceeds going to help rescue animals.

Guests will be asked to "cough it up" to help more than 1,500 animals that will be given shelter and support throughout 2018 by joint beneficiaries, Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge Society Inc (SCARS) and 4 Paws Animal Rescue.

FurBalls are society events held throughout North America and Asia to raise awareness and funds for animal rescue organisations. They are a salute to the bond between people and their pets.

“These very special celebrations have been held overseas for many years and have played a pivotal role in helping rescue, heal and find homes for tens of thousands of animals."

Spurning the four walls of conventional venues, the event will be held in Cotton Tree park beside the water in a ‘fairy-lit wonderland’ venue.

“Those lucky enough to secure a ticket will be greeted by the paw-parazzi on the red carpet as they enter, with photo opportunities alongside adorable rescue pups and playful kittens." said SCARS’ spokesperson, Penny Brischke.

There will be a red carpet paw-rade, delicious food from renowned Sunshine Coast chefs, live entertainment, dancing and a surprise or two.
