Good Dogs of Darebin – September 20

This is a great night out for Melbourne dogs and their owners! On the third Wednesday of every month, Good Dog Behaviour & Training and Welcome To Thornbury are celebrating pooches and puppers everywhere with their Good Dogs of Darebin event.

"This event was put together to promote and encourage proper dog training and socialisation, and the role that these skills play in creating dog-friendly pubs, cafés and outdoor areas in our local community" explains Tim Watson from Good Dog Behaviour & Training."I also wanted to do something that celebrated Melbourne's dog-friendly culture and that's how the Good Dogs of Darebin event was created."

Tim and his business partner, Elliott (his dog) will be talking all things dog training and behaviour in the beer garden each month and will be joined by a number of animal rescue groups and Melbourne dog businesses.

Welcome to Thornbury is Melbourne’s first permanent Bar and Food Truck Stop. It is an icon of the local area, functioning as a car manufacturing factory for much of the 20th century, and now it is the second largest beer garden and only permanent bar and food truck stop in Melbourne.

The full line-up of food trucks and stall holders for this month’s event is yet to be confirmed.

You can Bring Your Own dog or pat someone else's! Please note that all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and humans are also welcome!
