The brainchild behind the event is Melbourne’s Belinda Chong who set up Doggy Tea Breaks, a not-for-profit group that organises dog-friendly events around Melbourne.
Doggies will have the chance to enjoy some delicious doggy eggnog and you can also buy some sweet dog treats to raise funds for RSPCA Cupcake Day (officially August 15)!
Stallholders will be selling delicious Christmas winter treats and handmade delights.
You can dress up your pet in some blingy leather collars, check out some animal-themed artwork and drawings or pamper your dog with a relaxing canine massage on the day.
You can also meet some of the hard-working volunteers from Greyhound Rescue Victoria who rehome dogs in their spare time.
Best of all, The Pets Market is renown for its vibrant, yet relaxed atmosphere, an ideal place for dogs to socialise with each other in a safe environment. Stallholders and market staff are all huge dog lovers and The Pets Market is one of the very few places that actively encourages dogs and their owners to socialise together.
