The Inaugural Paw Parade: Unleash the Fun!

The centrepiece of the 2025 "Petals and Pups" program is the highly anticipated Paw Parade, a brand-new, full-scale, tail-wagging celebration designed to put our furry friends in the spotlight. Get ready for a morning of fun, fashion, and furry festivities as pups of all shapes and sizes strut their stuff in this inaugural event.

Event Details

  • When: Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
  • Where: Queens Park, Toowoomba.
  • What to Expect: Gourmet pet treats and coffee carts (yes, there will be puppuccinos!), pet-friendly market stalls, playful photo ops, and hands-on activities.
General admission for spectators and their non-competing pups is completely free. However, if you want your dog to compete for the chance to win, you’ll need to register. Each paid registration includes entry for one dog into up to two competition categories and a special gift for your "four-legged fashionista."

The "Petals and Pups" program goes far beyond the Paw Parade. Leashed dogs are welcome in many of the Carnival's key venues, a huge step up from many other large-scale festivals.

The Floral Heartlands

The two most iconic parks, Queens Park Botanic Gardens and Laurel Bank Park, are explicitly dog-friendly.

This means your furry friend can truly experience the heart of the festival with you, from strolling through breathtaking floral displays to frolicking amongst the vibrant blooms.
