Pup-Up Café on International Guide Dog Day 2023 - April 26

Celebrate International Guide Dog Day with a Cuddle and a Coffee at the Guide Dog Pup-Up Café

Sydneysiders, if you love coffee, brunch and fluffy pups then look no further, as Guide Dogs NSW/ACT are opening a paw-some Labrador themed Pup-Up Café next Wednesday, to celebrate International Guide Dog Day.

This follows the first ever Guide Dog Café in November 2022, where tickets sold out in under a minute.

The pup-tastic café is a one-day only event, where you will be able to immerse yourself in a variety of activities with family or friends.

Pose for a pic in the pooch-themed photo booth, get your caffeine kick and delicious treats with catering from The Naked Duck, whilst enjoying cuteness overload from the many, many puppy hugs that will be available.

As part of the experience, café-goers will be able to meet some of the life changing Therapy and Guide Dogs and hear from people in the low vision and blind community, to learn about some of the everyday challenges they face.

Ryan Jones, Guide Dog Mobility Instructor from Guide Dogs NSW/ACT says “Following the success of our 2022 Guide Dog Café, International Guide Dog Day felt the perfect occasion to bring the much-loved event back to the people of Sydney.”
“This year we are focused on our Guide Dog Handlers, and the important role our beautiful Guide Dogs play in helping the blind and low vision community to live independently.”
The café will be open on Wednesday 26th April, at World Square Shopping Centre Sydney.

There will be two sessions open to the public; 8am – 9am or 12pm – 2pm. Tickets can be purchased upon entry for $5 and children under 12 are welcome to enter for free! Capacity limits apply.
