Walk for PetWellness 2023 - May 7

On Sunday 7th May, 2023PetWell will be hosting its annual Walk for PetWellness, a five kilometre charity walk to raise funds for Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR).

The charity dog walk is the brainchild of Ms Hornak and Docklands resident Tracey Needham, with the pair being passionate about healthy eating and animals. In 2022, they launched Pet Squad and PetWell, a range of all-natural, Australian made pet supplements.

Designed to raise awareness of the best healthcare and nutrition for all pets in the community, PetWell is committed to the health and wellness of less fortunate animals.

This year's walk will take place in Melbourne’s Docklands. Starting at Point Park, the 5 km route goes to Ron Barassi Senior Park and back again.

SCAR is an organisation committed to stopping animal abandonment by addressing its root causes. By providing preventative pet retention programs and through public advocacy, SCAR aims to keep pets with their families for good.

PetWell aims to register 500 people for the walk, with 100 per cent of the registration fees going to SCAR, regardless of how many entries are sold.

Last year’s walk was an overwhelming success, with hundreds of entrants raising over $7,000 for the Save-A-Dog Scheme (SADS).

When: Sunday 7th May 2023. Registration: 9:30am - 10:00am.

Where: Point Park, 1 Point Park Crescent, Docklands to Ron Barassi Snr Park, Docklands and back.
