With dog ownership at an all-time high, there’s no better time to celebrate your dogs than now!
Petember, Australia’s biggest charity dog photography competition, is inviting all creatures great and small and their owners to spend quality time together this September all for a good PAWs, we mean cause!
Dog owners will take part in weekly activities designed to increase the happiness of both themselves and their dogs.
Organisers, Variety – the Children’s Charity, want to see as many furry, feathered and scaly friends as possible out there having fun and spreading the word!
Assistance dogs can be a lifeline for children with a range of conditions. Variety – the Children’s Charity fund assistance dogs for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder and Anxiety and Epilepsy. Training and placing an Assistance dog can cost up to $40,000.
There are over $5,000 in PAWrizes from SCHMACKOS and FuzzYard up for grabs!
Dog owners will take part in weekly activities designed to increase the happiness of both themselves and their dogs. Over the month of September, participants can submit images of their dog-bonding moments to win $5,000 in prizes, all while raising funds and awareness for life changing assistance dogs for kids with autism and anxiety.
A new theme will be announced each week, challenging dogs and their owners to show off their PAWsonality and compete for a prize.

The Petember Challenge benefits participants and their dogs with health benefits to owners including lower stress levels and increased activity and benefits to dogs including an increase in happiness and bond with their PAWrents.
