Breaking ground with wagging tails for the largest PETstock Distribution Centre at Avalon Airport Industrial Precinct
Today, Minister for Industry support and recovery Ben Carrol broke ground with David Fox from Avalon Airport and Shane Young from the Petspiration Group at the Avalon Airport Industrial Precinct for a new 32,000 square metre Petspiration Group regional office and training hub, distribution centre and on-site dog day care.
The new centre is expected to open in 2024 and will help the company meet growing demand, The new $43.5 million dollar facility will be predominantly utilised as a distribution centre and create up to 190 new jobs in the region.
"Avalon Airport is more than just an Airport. We welcome the new partnership and launch of the Petspiration Group’s new Distribution Centre within Avalon Airport’s Industrial Precinct. Avalon Airport’s Industrial Precinct covers approximately 1,712 hectares, with ‘shovel ready’ parcels currently available to a diverse range of opportunities,” said David Fox, Chairman of Avalon Airport.
CEO and Founder of The Petspiration Group, Shane Young, says that the new facility will facilitate PETstock’s vision in supporting regional businesses with the creation of up to 190 new jobs, increasing the warehouse footprint from 12,000m2 to 32,000m2.
