Bradfield Bark 2020 Online Event - June 21

Paws and Whiskers – it’s Bradfield Bark time this Sunday!

Who said you can’t have a howling good time at home? Council’s annual Bradfield Bark event is going online this Sunday 21 June 2020 – the paw-fect day in.

Now in its fifth year, there's never been a better time to celebrate the canine companions and furry friends who have been keeping their owners entertained during the long stretches at home.

North Sydney Mayor Jilly Gibson said our four-legged friends make an important contribution to our community.

“There are a lot of health and social benefits to having a dog or cat as part of your family. Knowing how much locals love Bradfield Bark, we decided that even with coronavirus restrictions the show must go on!”

The event will go live on Facebook and www.bradfieldbark.com at 10.30am, with a bone-anza of activities and a virtual Mutt and Meow Market. Hosted by media veterinarian Dr Katrina, there will be demonstrations, canine COVID advice, DIY homemade treats, a talk about cat behaviour and information on how to recycle your dog’s fur.

Have you got a question about your pet that you’d love some expert advice on? You can send it through ahead to ask their panel of experts using the online form.

  • Dr Katrina and the Wonderdogs will be answering all your questions on animal behaviours.
  • Sharon from Bark Busters will be addressing all questions around training and exercise.
  • Renae from Sydney Dogs and Cat’s Home will be answering any questions you might have about adding a new furry member to your family

There will also be fun pet trivia and other games for participants to enjoy with their pooch (with great prizes to be won). Public voting will be open for the finalists in the best dressed pooch and funniest pet video categories.

No bustling crowds this year but on the upside you can browse / shop online in the comfort of your own home!

So if you're home on Sunday morning, why not tune in?

For a preview of what’s to come, North Sydney Council will be posting a video of DOGA (Dog Yoga) with the Rancan Sisters (Friday 19th June at 12:00pm) on the Facebook event page.

When: Sunday 21st June 2020, from 10:30am to 12:00pm

Where: Online at www.bradfieldbark.com
