Pound Paws Dog Day Honeysuckle Hotel - February 9

Next weekend, Pound Paws is taking over Honeysuckle Hotel in Newcastle, turning it into a pop-up rescue shelter!

Expect to walk in and be greeted by slobbery kisses and wagging tails from rescue pets who are looking for fur-ever love.

Pound Paws Dog Day at Honeysuckle Hotel is a community event hosted by Pound Paws, which aims to raise awareness about pet adoption as well as assist rescue groups in the Newcastle area by re-homing their adoptable dogs.

The following rescue groups: NSW Bull Terrier Rescue Inc., RSPCA NSW, Hunter Animal Rescue and Dog Rescue Newcastle will be involved on the day.

If you are looking to adopt a pet, this is the event for you!

Pound Paws Dog Day events are all about raising awareness about the importance of choosing to adopt instead of shop, in a fun, relaxed manner. We are so appreciative of the local communities support towards pet adoption” says Brittany Bloomer, Founder of Pound Paws.

If you’re already a dog paw-rent and still looking to join in on the fun, there will be plenty of paw-some activities ranging from: Pet Market Stalls, Live Music, Dog Training Performances, Best Dog Trick / Best Dog Costume Competitions with VIP Judges, Mini Photo Shoots (only $5) and much more!

Pound Paws are delighted to be assisting local rescue groups in the Newcastle region with raising awareness and potentially re-homing their pets.

When: Sunday 9th February 2020, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm

Where: Honeysuckle Hotel, Lee Wharf C, Honeysuckle Dr Lot 31, Newcastle, NSW
