RU OK? Day 2019 - The Social Dog Company

In support of R U OK? Day on Thursday 12 September 2019The Social Dog Company will be inviting the community to participate in free feel good activities at both Frisco’s Hotel, Woolloomooloo and The Norfolk Hotel, Redfern.

The evening will consist of gold coin donation based yoga classes, smooches with pooches, meditation sessions, and life by design workshops all in the effort to bring the community together in the fight to prevent suicide and promote the companionship between dogs and humans.

Dogs can reduce stress, anxiety and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness, improve your cardiovascular health, and act to break down social barriers – so this is the paw-fect occasion for individuals and social groups.

Funds raised on the evening will be directly donated to RUOK? - a suicide prevention charity, as well as Maggie's Rescue, an animal charity that runs a foster to adopt program designed to create a nurturing and loving temporary home for animals in need until homes are permanently found.

Evening Schedule:

  • 6:00 PM - 6:45 PM / Yoga - Soul Flow Yoga by Sydney Yoga Collective. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it as limited mats are available.
  • 6:50 PM - 7:30 PM / Pats with Pooches - The Social Dog Company
