5,000 dogs, 9 international and world renowned judges will gather for 4 days of premier championship shows from August 30 to September 2, 2018

This year, the Royal Canin International Spring Fair reaches new heights as it will offer for the first time in the 21st century in NSW the World Canine Organisation’s ‘International Beauty Champion' title!

With the continuation of the associate membership between the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) and Australian National Kennel Council Ltd (ANKC), Dogs NSW will proudly host the NSW Certificat d’Aptitude au Championnat International de Beauté (CACIB) [French: Certificate of Aptitude for International Champion of Beauty] show on Friday 31st August 2018

Dogs NSW President Lynette Brown said the Spring Fair is a big celebration of purebred dogs and certainly not to be missed! “We celebrate the new season, the colours of the new flowers, the fair atmosphere and the extraordinary and beautiful pedigree dogs that will be on show, all presented in peak condition for our world-renowned international judges!” she said.

Dogs NSW is the peak body in NSW responsible for promoting breeding, showing, trialling, obedience, and other canine-related activities and the ownership of temperamentally and physically sound purebred dogs.

International judges and thousands of dogs!

This year, Dogs NSW anticipates more than 5,000 dogs from across Australia to compete in the championships, and welcomes nine distinguished international judges from around the world, this year including Ireland, Japan, Canada, Malaysia, Belgium and India.

Mrs Brown said the Saturday show will see the official opening of the event by the Hon. Tanya Davies MP and will also recognise some of ANKC’s esteemed members for their contributions to the NSW dog show community. On Sunday, dogs will be able to qualify as a contestant at the world-renowned Crufts 2019!

“The International Spring Fair not only showcases the amazing abilities of purebred dogs, but also promotes responsible breeding,” she said. “Ethical, Dogs NSW-registered breeders of purebred dogs are invested in the heritage of the breeds and dedicated to producing the next generation of healthy and sound canines.”
