The Illawarra's best Dog Day Out proudly brought to you by Pound Paws and North Wollongong Hotel returns on Saturday 15th September from 12noon to 4pm. Come and celebrate dog rescue with a whole heap of tail-wagging activities, ranging from dog grooming, Puppy Ball Pits, puppycinnos, dog crystal healing, and even the chance to share a dog-friendly beer with your furry best friend at the pub!
This event will be hosting the first ever Sausage Dog Ninja Warrior, with a safely constructed obstacle course which will have Dachshunds toddling through tunnels and even eating mini hot dogs!
“The Day is aimed to help raise awareness about dog adoption, as well as celebrate the wonderful companionship which we share with our dogs’ – Brittany Bloomer, Founder of Pound Paws.
Dogs also have the opportunity to strut their stuff on the stage, showing off their best costumes or tricks, to go in the draw to not only make their fur-parents proud, but win some seriously cool prizes too!
The competitions are by gold coin donation with all proceeds going to rescue groups so be sure to enter your dog for great doggie prizes.
The event will include over a variety of different dog rescue groups including Greyhound Rescue, Best Friends Fur-Ever Rescue, Deaf Dog Rescue, RSPCA NSW, Dachshund Rescue Australia, with a mission to help re-home the dogs that are available for adoption.
The North Gong Hotel will come alive with dogs demonstrating circuit training performances, live music and even a Petflair fashion parade, which will have owners and their dogs strutting their stuff in matching swimwear!
This promises to be another great day out for dog lovers of all ages!
