Trees for Pets launches Reforestation Memorial Trees

Trees for Pets launches in Australia, transforming Pet Memorials into global reforestation efforts

Trees for Pets sparks positivity and a sense of purpose amongst grieving pet parents, enabling pet memorial tree planting as a collective reforestation effort.

Trees for Pets unveils a new avenue for pet owners to cope with their loss. In partnership with global reforestation organisation Ecologi, the company simplifies pet memorial tree planting through global reforestation to plant trees in memory of their beloved pets while impacting as a community through reforestation at scale.

Recently founded business Trees for Pets enters the Australian market with a meaningful, yet simple and affordable solution to memorialise beloved pets.

Reforestation Memorial Trees, planted globally and locally in Australia, are a tribute to beloved pets who passed and a gift to future generations, benefiting from reforestation efforts to protect our planet.

After planting a memorial tree, grieving pet parents receive a personalised certificate and gain access to the virtual Trees for Pets forest, where each tree represents the acknowledgement of the funding person, the honoured pet’s name and details about the tree’s species, planting location and the reforestation effort it supports.

Further to the individual trees, the collective achievement is tracked in real-time to emphasise the community’s reforestation impact.

Trees for Pets’ memorial trees can be ordered online at www.treesforpets.com.au, with plans to further expand distribution through selected retailers, vets and small business partners, providing pet end of life services.

“After experiencing pet loss in our own families and watching friends go through it, we felt like there needs to be a better way to memorialise beloved pets. We were looking for a meaningful, affordable option, tied to nature, with a positive impact on the environment” (Marlen Farley - Co-Founder Trees for Pets)

While reforestation pet memorial trees represent our flagship product, Trees for Pets also offers native pet memorial trees with personalised plaques and memorial ceremonies at a country property in Victoria, as well as planter sets for pet parents who prefer planting their own pet memorial trees at home.

“We saw an opportunity with over $100 million annually spent on pet urns and other pet memorial products in Australia to redirect funds toward reforestation, having a positive impact locally and globally.
For every pet loss in Australia, we envision a tree being planted.
This is our first step in steering Australians towards eco-conscious pet memorials, with the ultimate goal of making traditional pet urns obsolete through our sustainable approach.” (Verity Byrne - Advisor Trees for Pets)
