Dogs on the Green is a free community market for dog lovers held on the Gold Coast.
You can bring your dog along for a fun day out to socialise with other dogs and support small businesses who specialise in products and services for our much-loved furry friends.
Dogs on the Green is the only regular doggy market on the Gold Coast!
Dogs on the Green’s Founder, Rosalie Sulfaro, started her involvement with markets around three years ago when she started holding stalls at various markets with her business Doggie Daywear.
Dogs on the Green’s Founder, Rosalie Sulfaro, started her involvement with markets around three years ago when she started holding stalls at various markets with her business Doggie Daywear.
Throughout this time, Rosalie noticed a gap in the market for a regular market for dog lovers, so Dogs on the Green was launched in May 2019.
Three events were held in 2019 with a great turnout of local dogs and their humans. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the first event for 2020 wasn’t held until July, which turned out to be the busiest event so far!
The event comprises of around 50+ stalls along with a great selection of food and drink vendors.
Attendees love the open space of the venue (Benowa State School’s sport’s oval) which enables dogs to socialise with plenty of room to move.
Water bowls and shade are available when a rest is needed.
There is a mobile dog groomer on site to freshen up your dog while you wander the market. For added piece of mind, Advantage EMT Services is on hand for any First Aid requirements for both humans and dogs.
The Gold Coast City Council Animal Management will be attending to promote responsible pet ownership and answer any questions pet owners may have.
As with previous events, a raffle will be held to raise funds for rescue groups attending on the day.
As with previous events, a raffle will be held to raise funds for rescue groups attending on the day.
The rescue groups attending this event are Westie Rescue Qld, Northern Rivers Greyhounds as Pets and Qld Staffy and Amstaff Rescue. This is a great opportunity for attendees to speak to the rescues about their wonderful work and how they may be able to help out through fostering and adoption.
