The Barkly Barks Dog Festival returns to Brunswick's Barkly Square on May 27.

Barkly Barks is a very cute dog festival complete with a pooch parade, Dachshund Dash and for the first time a dog trivia. Now in its third year, it has established itself as one of the local community's favourite festivals!

The event will be held on Sunday 27th May (from 10am – 3pm) and will bring its much-loved dog parade back, this year including a Dachshund Dash to its ten categories covering everything from Best in Show to Best Costume.

Feel you know everything there is to know about your beloved Schnauzer? All over Lassie’s biggest rescues? Or which dog holds the Guinness world record for the fastest dog on two paws? Then why not get your team together and enter Barkly Bark’s inaugural Dog Trivia? With limited spaces available, booking is recommended.

Crowd favourites Awkward Portraits will return taking awkward costumed dog snaps – first in first served. Melbourne’s only dog-friendly food truck, Canine Wellness Kitchen food truck are also back by popular demand.

Obedience classes and a doggy day spa will be offered as well as pop-up stalls and live music entertainment, competitions and workshops.
