From a doggie day spa to high tea with four-legged friends, every dog in Canberra will be able to have their day when Canberra plays host to its biggest dog-dedicated event.
Feel like spoiling your canine companion with a shiny new toy, tasty nibbles or the latest dog accessories, why not visit one the many retail stalls at the Doggie Mall in Budawang Pavilion? Is your pooch a little on the nose halway through winter? Book them into the Doggie Day Spa for a full primp and preen!
The High Tea With Dogs is one of the highlights and offers a unique dining experience for you and your dog. This year's theme is the Mad Hatter's Tea Party inspired by "Alice in Wonderland" where you and your pooch get to dress up and indulge in gourmet treats. Reservations are essential and will close at midday, Friday 22 July.
A complimentary "Paws and Pose" Mad Hatter's photo booth will be available for you to take lots of happy snaps of your special doggie day out!

The Doggie Diner & Café in Budawang Pavilion will keep your pooch fuelled up throughout this big day! A separate human-only food area is just nearby, so you don't have to go hungry either.
BREED SHOWCASE & ANIMAL RESCUE
Head to Coorong Pavilion from 12pm to check out the popular Breed Showcase - featuring Cairn Terriers, Siberian Huskies, Golden Retrievers, and Finnish Lapphunds.
We already know you love dogs. If you've ever considered volunteering at an animal rescue service/shelter, or just want to find out more about the adoption process, head to Coorong Pavilion and talk to passionate local animal rescuers.
Calling all Oodles, Pugs, Scotts and Hounds! There will be a Breed Play Hour for each of these this year - PLUS if you find a look-a-like at your play session you could win a prize!
Sessions are in Coorong Pavilion at 10:30am (Oodles), 12pm (Pugs), 1:30pm (Scotts) and 3pm (Hounds).
COMPETITIONS & PRIZES
Open competitions will be held on the main stage, sponsored by Petbarn. Is your dog a very clever boy or girl? Show off your dog's skills in the Pawfect Tricks competition! Or they can dress up and strut their stuff in the Puparazzi Parade.
Some dog owners bear an uncanny resemblance to their canine companions - and vice-versa! The Doggelgangers Look-Alike Competition will run on Facebook in the lead up to the event from 12-19 July, so get your photos ready and come and see the finalists up on stage at A Pooch Affair!

- Dances with Dogs
