Doggy Day Out by Eview Chelsea - November 18

American Staffy wearing a yellow collar looks up at Eview Group Chelsea owners
An exciting event is coming to the Bicentennial Park in Chelsea on the 18th of November from 10am until 3pm.

Doggy Day Out is a family event featuring market stalls, food trucks, entertainment, competitions, raffles, activities and more! Everyone and their dog can come along to this event for a gold coin donation. Proceeds from this event will be donated to Hear No Evil and Canilos Animal Foundation

Doggy Day Out, formerly The Chelsea Dog-a-thon, is brought to Chelsea by real estate agency eView Group Chelsea. eView Group Chelsea have been operating in the area since 2008 and are excited to be hosting a dog-friendly event once again in the outer Melbourne suburb that is open to anyone in the community.

Doggy Day Out aims to raise money for dog rescue charities both locally and internationally and to raise awareness about rescue animals. Doggy Day Out Chelsea is proudly supporting Hear No Evil who are dedicated to rescuing and rehoming deaf and special needs dogs. The event will also be donating funds to Canilos Animal Foundation – a charity based in Lesvos, Greece, where dogs are often tethered to short chains and abandoned.

Eview Group Chelsea owners Sofia Vatos and Peter Gourdouros began organising dog-themed events in Chelsea after saving an American Staffy

“We went through difficult times with our pet, to the point where most people around us were saying that we must give her up and that it’s not going to work with my high work commitment and life schedule,” Vatos said. The couple persisted with their rescue dog and today, Persephone is a very well behaved and affectionate family dog.

The event also celebrates dogs and their owners with market stalls, activities and entertainment catered to both humans and their furry best friends.

Attendees who bring their dog along to the event will be able to try dog yoga, or ‘doga’, with yoga instructor Holly Shepherd from Deep Breath Yoga Community
