This festival of "fun, fur and love" connects thousands of Sydneysiders with many animals available for adoption from twelve animal organisations and rescue shelters including: Greyhound Rescue, Maggie's Rescue, Monika's Rescues, Porsche's Rescue, Pugs SOS, Rocky's K9 Rescue, Animals Australia, Cat Protection Society, RSPCA, Mounted Unit NSW Police Force and Velma's Pets as Therapy etc.
For the very first time in 2016, Super Furry Festival is holding doga (dog yoga) sessions for humans and their pooches! During this relaxed session, you will enjoy meditation, gentle massage and stretching with your dog.
The session is held by Celeste Franklin from The Healing Circle Aromatherapy & Yoga and is set to be a lot of fun. Please bring your pooch on a leash and a yoga mat for the session. Meet 15mn prior to your doga session (10am or 1pm) at the grassed area of Shannon Reserve.
TREASURE HUNT
This treasure hunt with a twist is where you and your four-legged friend can hunt for hidden prizes and treats for both human and dog! Please meet at the playground at 2:15pm.
The activities are bigger, better and cuter than last year! Bring your pooch and start your morning with a session of 'Doga' (yoga with your dog), teach your dog a new trick (2 sessions: one at 11am and one at 2pm), shop for your pet (and yourself) in the market space, you can relax and have a drink with your pooch in the picnic area whilst being serenaded with live music and don't forget to sign up early to enjoy the Kitty or the Bunny Cuddle Tents.
Even if you are not a pet owner, the Super Furry Festival still has something for you as it showcases a handpicked selection of market stalls for you to enjoy!
Some of the products and services you will see on the day:
Haus of Harley, Potty Plant, Paddo Pets, Pet Parcels, Domuts, Doggy Bag, Love That Pet, Love Nigella, Mad Paws, Lend a Pet, Twenty3, Quirky Nails (nail art), Ratbags & Rascals, Zoozap, The Carrington (food), Messina (food roaming) etc.
