The beautiful surrounds of Belvoir Estate will be the host venue for the annual Swan Valley Mudfest on Sunday 7 October 2018, with two entry options to choose from, all packed full of crazy, fun-filled obstacles and good times.
The Swan Valley Mudfest is the mud run for everyone! We are all about fun, family, not taking yourself too seriously, having a laugh, getting fit, getting muddy with your dogs, dressing up and achieving things you didn’t think were possible.
Getting down and dirty never felt so good, combined with more mud than ever before, this year’s Swan Valley Mudfest is guaranteed to showcase their best course yet.
Muddy Paws Challenge
No member of the family will be left behind with organisers working closely with charity partner, RSPCA WA, to give Perth’s pooches a one-of-a-kind Muddy Paws Challenge.
An Australian first that launched in 2016, this is an opportunity for two and four-legged competitors alike to dash through the dirt and have some fun while raising much needed funds for RSPCA WA at the same time.
Taking place in the afternoon, there’s no chance of you or your pooch getting out clean through this specially designed dog-friendly course! This course is also suitable for dog lovers of all ages from 9 years and up.
5km Run A Muck Course
If you haven’t competed in a mud run or obstacle race before, then this is the course for you! The 5km course will be packed full of all your favourite obstacles from previous years plus some new ‘tried and tested’ obstacles from sister event, the South West Mudfest. It’s perfect for those who just want to have fun with their friends or family, with the course suitable for ages 9 years right up to those mud-loving parents.
Event Manager, Jack Rogers, confirms that the best thing about the Swan Valley Mudfest is that it can be done by anyone. “Our participants tell us what they love the most about our event is that it truly is fun for the whole family. Parents can run with their kids for a family day out, grab a team of friends for a day full of laughs and give man’s best friend a muddy good time too. You don’t have to be tough or train for months, it’s just a great day out for everyone.”
“Plans are underway to make this year’s courses muddier than ever with even more mud pits plus some new obstacles from our sister event. The event location is awesome because there are heaps of surrounding paddocks around Belvoir Estate and most importantly lots of mud thanks to all of the rain we are currently experiencing in Perth!”
Bring a picnic blanket, claim your spot within the beautiful grounds at Belvoir and enjoy the sunshine and a feed after your run. There will be a variety of food and beverage providers tempting you across the finish line, muddy before and after photographs, a live DJ and a nice clean shower and doggy rinse-off station!
The Swan Valley Mudfest acknowledges the support of its partners Major Motors Isuzu, Belvoir Estate and RSPCA WA. Don’t forget to bring a gold coin donation for the valuables drop, with funds raised going directly to their charity partner. Better yet, part proceeds of every registration also go straight to RSPCA WA to help them continue all the wonderful work they do.
