Dirty Dog Tail Run Grape Tails - April 29

Organisers are sorry to announce they had to postpone the Dirty Dog Tail Run's Grape Tails event until 2018.
The Dirty Dog Tail Run is getting a little bit fancy by taking their next event to the Great Lakes Winery in Wootton (NSW) on Saturday 29th April, 2017.

The event, which took place for the first time last year in Coopernook State Forest, allows dogs and their owners to go for a run or walk off the beaten track and in beautiful locations like through the winery’s vineyards.

Run, walk, sniff and bark your way around the picturesque Great Lakes Paddocks with your best friend and support animal advocacy and welfare organisations at the same time!

Organised by Forster events company Fully Rad Adventures, the event also raises funds for Sweet Pea Animal Rescue with a percentage of ticket sales going to the local charity. " The run is not timed and is more about the experience of enjoying a walk or run outdoors with your dog" explained Danielle Donnelly of Fully Rad Adventures.

The 5km course gives hounds and their humans of all shapes, sizes and abilities the opportunity to join the fun.“It’s a relaxing and fun event that is designed around the dog’s enjoyment,” Danielle said.

After a great time tackling the course, you will get the chance to enjoy wine, local produce and some chill vibes! While your pooch enjoys the dog playground including an obstacle course, treats, pooch smooth booth and lots more.

Dogs are awarded with a medal and bandana upon completing the track.

The event will also incorporate a fun day aspect after the run, with obstacle courses for dogs, Beerdog’s Brewhouse ‘beer’ for dogs and a pooch smooch kissing booth.

For the humans, wine and food will be available as well as live music entertainment.
The organisers will be giving away some fantastic prizes for best dressed pooches, plus prizes in fun games throughout the day.

What's included in the entry price?

Not only do you and your pooch get a fun day out together, you'll both get a super cool bag of goodies including a glow dog tag, Bark Buff, dog tag race bib, finishers medal for your pooch, doggy treats, refreshments on the course, plus your entry fee includes a 10% donation to a partner animal rescue and advocacy group.
