Dogs Day Out at Floriade 2015 - October 6

Dogs Day Out will return to Floriade in Canberra on Tuesday 6 October, following on from its debut success in 2014. Dogs Day Out is only possible with the help of additional volunteers and pet owners are encouraged to donate to RSPCA ACT on the day.

While animals are not usually permitted to enter Floriade due to a risk of damaging the event’s flower beds, these rules have been relaxed for one day only in 2015. Information and signage will be provided on the day in order to make it clear where dogs are permitted. Pet owners will be expected to comply with a number of rules as part of Dogs Day Out at Floriade.

Rules and restrictions:

• All dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
• Dogs and owners must remain on designated paths and must not enter any garden bed at any time.
• Dogs may not enter any indoor venue or food outlet.
• Dogs must be picked up after and all waste disposed of responsibly.
• Dogs may only enter Commonwealth Park during opening hours of Tuesday 6 October 2015.

Opening Hours:

Monday to Friday 9.00am–5.00pm;
Weekends and public holidays 9.00am–5.30pm
Last entry to the event is 30 minutes before closing
